Project
I am interested in uncertainty. Particularly uncertainty and error that arise in mathematical modeling and computer simulation of physical systems. I am looking at characterising types of uncertainty in these situations and in documenting methods for accommodating them.
I am also interested in formal methods for representing uncertainty such as probability theory, Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence and so on. I am looking at which of these methods is best suited to representing what the output of computer simulations tells us about the world.
